Spilling the coffee on... Business and Parenting

• Tara Leson • Episode 76

If you are a parent and run a business, I feel like we hear often how amazing it is that we have the flexible schedule, can pick up and drop off our kids at school, have time for the appointments and don't have to ask anyone for time off to take them...

All this is true.

BUT - it's also hard.

And many times, this is the conversation people don't want to hear or have openly. Because it sounds like you're ungrateful for the flexibility you do get. Or if you say it's hard, then it's like - well, you could go back to a 9-5...

Here's the thing, two things can and ARE true at once.

I have had so many conversations with friends and clients about this.

I love my business and the flexibility and all it allows it me and I would never go back to nursing...

AND that doesn't negate the fact that it's also hard to do all the things I need to when my kids are home because they're off for a week or have a random day off pop up because the reality is, we still have to run the business.

So today, I'm getting into it.

I'd love to hear your thoughts after you listen!
